As the name suggests, the history of the WM66 model is closely linked to the Football World Cup taking place in England. It was developed exclusively for this occasion.
At that time, two sole designs were available: the miramid sole with screw-in studs and the shell cam sole, which served to protect the toes and front part of the sole. The front protection was an insole made entirely of leather and the padded shaft edge was adopted in today's calfskin version.
The WM66 has a 7-hole lacing with a logo-embossed tongue, a reinforced toe and heel area, a padded insole and is also completely lined with calfskin. A stitched-through outsole made of high-quality leather with abrasion-resistant rubber outsoles ensures excellent wear comfort. Waxed shoelaces are included.
